MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Well, it's a quiet christmas this year round. Stayed at home the whole day, yeah pretty bleh but too bad I guess. My aunt and grandma came over though, so I got some kinda christmas present from them, um, money. =) Well, looks like I'm putting them back somewhere in my bank and spending some of the rest. And, hopefully the New Year would be more fun, like go out somewhere you know.
Anyway back to yesterday, went out with Damien and Wenbin to buy the Beatmania IIDX KOC, the controller so to speak. Pics later but anyway we went to Bugis to buy. The. damn. traffic. was. so. horrendous. And I made a stupid mistake of taking 61 there. It took me a bloody 1.5 hours to reach there, wasted everyone's time. I'm never gonna take 61 to Bugis again. So anyway we went to this game store called Seow Choon and bought 2 KOCs, sadly no third one so Wenbin couldn't get his. But thankfully we also got a discount from the store, thanks to Skyy's membership card. So after that we went to Sim Lim Square to find other places to get Wenbin's KOC. Okay, I know it doesn't sound quite wrong when I type it out but when you pronounce KOC as a word, it sounds really wrong. We more or less started saying the KOC as a word, wonder how many people were staring at us and wondering what kind of kinky stuff we do man. But it was all clean fun okay, and we had a good laugh, or laughs. Anyway we managed to find a KOC in Sim Lim Square, but they were selling it at a total rip-off price of 180 bucks when I got mine for just 94. Stupid shop, it's gonna get blacklisted. Sadly we couldn't find anywhere else that had the KOC so we kinda went back home after that.
I had some fun playing with my KOC that night but what was more amazing was my night run. I decided to do a run yesterday no matter what so I got downstairs at 10 pm and went for a jog. Surprisingly I didn't get tired much while running, though I was pretty slow, so I decided to continue on, it was a pleasant feeling, as I rarely feel comfortable to run further. I decided to run my old route I used to run during my secondary school days, a 4.2 km route that is mostly uphill with steep downhills. In the end I managed to run it under 29 minutes, not bad for that tough route, harder than the MacRitchie 4.8 km I would say. But hey, I didn't feel very tired at all, not even after the run. Perhaps my running and breathing techniques have improved, even though my current stamina is definitely poorer than last time. Great! Makes me feel good, I think I shall do a run tomorrow again, I really wanna get back my fitness and more.
And hmm, I guess I should start counting down my days before I enlist. It's 25th December today, and I'm enlisting on 25th January, 2 days before my birthday, sucks right? So I have exactly one more month to go. 31 days left. Damn, I'm so reluctant to go in the army. Bleh.
