3 Weeks Left...
Friday, January 4, 2008
Time does really fly, I only have 3 weeks left until enlistment. Perhaps I'm really dreading it, dreading military life. Okay let's not talk about that, I should be taking life easy now. Love having free time, and nothing to do.
"Having nothing to do is a luxury."
Yep yep, very true, no wonder I don't wanna go to work, or rather didn't really went bother to find one, I was more of hoping one would chance by and I'd pick that job up, but since that well paying job, $8 an hour, slipped by, I'd just forget about working. Yesterday was pretty busy for me, woke up at 8 am for the first time in a long while, then fell back to sleep again until 8.45, so I reached ACJC late. Poor Weiliang. Guess who I saw when I entered the school? Mr Kuna, The legend! Very nice guy and easy to talk to, not forgetting his chem lectures though. And I also managed to enter the MRC room for the first time. Yep, the first time after I left the school, how ironic. And the place is damn cool la, it has a nice coffee table, sofas. I wish my CCA had a private room like that, it's luxury you know. No wonder the MRC people always choose to camp inside there, so shuang, hahaha. Went to the gym after that, and we both realised we were weak now, due to the lack of exercise, oh noes! And uh, the price of school food just got upped, darnit. My milo bottle is now $1.20, WTFBBQ? That's a 20% rice in prices, damn expensive now, sad. Of course the other stalls also raised their prices, the increase wasn't as morbid. We watched the new J1s cheering as well, uh, ya, so soft cheering, maybe the OGL's aren't doing enough, hahaha.
Went to town with Haikal after that to get something for good ol' David, or Davey as Yukun would put it. We settled for a Nike shirt but the problem was we didn't know the size, so we did the best thing we could do: Call David's house and hope he David doesn't pick up to ask him for the size of his shirt. But then it was David who picked up the phone and I didn't know what to say. Anyway since he picked up we just asked him the size of the shirt anyway. Ha! Short of being VERY obvious, that was damn funny.
Dinner was well, good. I mean, wedding dinners are always good. Right, RIIIGHT? Though this was the latest wedding dinner I ever had. I mean it started at what, 9.30? Food wasn't fantastically great, though I love the Shark's Fin soup, as I always have. Don't worry sharks, your death wasn't in vain because I ate you. Bwahahaha! Drank some red wine there, was good wine, the smell was strong and it wasn't rough. Ooo, love it! And then of course I discovered pressure, or what seemed to be like it. You know, family members asking where your girlfriend is. It's a bleh thing, but since I'm quite senior on the list of cousins who aren't married, people will be bound to ask no matter your age. On a side note, I snagged like 12 roses from the wedding dinner room. My brother went on to add 1 more so it's 13 roses now, they're all at home now, and I'm very, VERY tempted to do the "She loves me, she loves me not" on one rose just to make it 12 roses again.
I woke up at 8.40 am again today, went for a run with Haikal. I was having some massive inertia against running since I was sleeping quite well with the wine and the fatigue from the day before. But anyway we ran like 4 km and it was just tiring, though I completed it faster this game. That makes me feed good, since I feel myself getting fitter now, YES! Had lunch with Ee Cheong, and I realised I really do need a camera-less phone now. And now, time to play something, Team Fortress 2 maybe.

Good ambience, really good.

Oh the ceiling!

Thirteen flowers!

Yep, thirteen, the lucky thirteen. =) || posted by Kuan Hui
