The older I get, the more I understand the difference between intelligence and wisdom. On paper it is very easy to differentiate both words. But the true meaning of these words don't really strike you until you have experienced the difference first-hand. Time and again I have learnt it the hard way. Perhaps that's why slightly older folk perceive the younger ones to be full of ego and haughtiness; they simply do not have the wisdom to appreciate to a deeper level the nuances and complexities of life and its human constructs.
