Walking closer with God requires me to be more humble. I have always had trouble putting myself in a place within me that I am no better than anyone else in this world. Yet oftentimes, even though I might outwardly behave to be humble, I am still proud on the inside, thinking that I am more knowledgeable and better than others around me. This is my realisation for this week, and something which I have to work towards changing.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8)
I need my God to show me what it really means to have a contrite heart, and to show true humility not only to others around me, but to myself as well. || posted by Kuan Hui
