The depth and complexity of human emotion never ceases to intrigue me. Whether one is 7 months old or 70 years old, the behaviours that are borne out of emotion come from highly intricate thought processes. Fear, guilt, acceptance, disappointment, joy, anger, frustration, love, sadness. I have taken notice of all of it in two days of interacting with my extended family. These organic emotions are the lifeblood of our existence on earth. It is God-given, and given to us to enjoy our time in this world. Shouldn't we all take a deeper appreciation of one of the hallmarks of life? These are the ties that bind. We aren't able to choose our family, heck, we don't really get to choose our friends either (don't we all meet serendipitously?), so why don't we all start putting our love into action and begin to appreciate them sincerely for who they are? ||
