As Paul teaches in Philippians 4, we live well when we live in reliance on Christ’s strength, not ours. We live well when we realize that contentment in this life can be found regardless of our standard of living. To abound well, we need to “not be conformed to this world” and the empty dreams it offers, “but be transformed by the renewal of [our] minds” - Winfree Brisley
When I am doing well, I am apt to neglect my relationship with God. Who am I but a little child in the sight of Jesus? All things that I have come from Him, and in the blessings that I receive, I should all the more be grateful to God, not less. My prayer to You Lord, is that I keep growing closer to you, in good times and in bad, that I never neglect to understand that all good things come from You, and that my depraved heart should give way to Your unbounding love, that I may love You and exalt You for every grace that You have so graciously and lovingly given to me. || posted by Kuan Hui
