"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler." (Psalm 91:4)
The Psalms are wonderfully encouraging and contain words of promise and happiness to the believer. Ever so often, when I find myself struggling over some matter, I flee to God's word, and in there, right in the centre of the Bible, contains writings of encouragement.
Just as a protector spreads his wings to cover the weak, so does He cover me under His wings, and it is in them do I trust to be protected from physical to emotional to spiritual harm. His promises are truth, and I shall use it as my shield and my buckler, and press on.
